First PC Build
|
For his 13th birthday, Harris, Co-Founder of the TechnologiCoders, decided with his brother that they would build a PC given about $600. Since they were new to the process of PC building, though, it took them at least 3 hours to assemble it, but turned out to work just right! This first PC unraveled the path for future builds, and sparked their interest in assembling these components.
The components used in the build were quite simple; a list of the parts can be found here. |
$225 Workshop PC Build
About 6 months after Danial and Harris built their first computer, they latched onto the idea of hosting a workshop in which they would build a computer. To do this, however, they needed to fundraise. Thanks to their sponsors, Danial and Harris reached the goal required to build the PC. This build, however, did not take nearly as long to build, and was fairly simple, since it did not include a graphics card and the like.
The components used in this build can be found here. |

HEDP PC Build
|
Soon after they held their workshop, Danial and Harris were set to build a computer for someone else... this, of course, was an opportunity granted by the HEDP (High Energy Density Physics Group) at UCSD. This computer, however, was more than just another build, another hobby, another randomly crafter computer. In fact, this computer costed $2000- the majority of the money sourced from their GeForce GTX 1070 Founders Edition, Intel Core i7-6700k, and even the motherboard and RAM. Today, this computer can be seen in the HEDP lab at UCSD, and is the setting stone for more builds to come.
